LISTEN TO THE AUDIO RECORDING
I read that there is stardust embedded in rocks fathoms deep in the ocean, mysteries of the universe, far-flung missives older than time.
It made me think that perhaps science and poetry are not so dissimilar, parallel paths of questioning seeking to arrive at universal truths. Haven’t we been here before, you and I? Stardust in our innermost being, in the atoms that comprise our bones.
Stardust, the last remnants of a burst of energy, speeding through space, centuries after it ceased to be. But it is, no? Here in me, here in us, in the sky above, winking down at night, in the deepest realms of the sea below.
We are not alone, never lonely when we can sink into the stardust within.
